What is Sex Therapy?

“Sex is only 10% of the relationship when you’re having it,

and 90% of the relationship when you’re not”

Anonymous

Sex therapy is without a doubt, the most intimate form of counselling that brings any one into the office.

It is the most intimate aspect of who we are, and the most daunting challenge to ever seek counselling for, especially with someone we do not know.

Reasons to Seek Out Sex Therapy

  • Having happier healthier sex can often increase self-esteem, and increase one’s own sense of identity.

  • Sex is one of the greatest workouts the human body can have, as it increases blood flow, allows the release of feel-good neurotransmitters and hormones, and decreases stress.

  • Many people are looking to expand their sexual horizons, particularly as society becomes a more open, and welcoming place.

  • Having an all-encompassing and satisfactory sex life can also increase life satisfaction, happiness, and give us something to look forward to.

At Blake Psychological, you will be treated with kindness, compassion, empathy, and understanding. We know that working in this area can be incredibly difficult for many people. We are here to help!

    • Many of us lead very busy lives, and wake up one day, and say, “when did sex get so mundane?”, or “when was the last time we had sex??

    • Many couples also find it difficult to “re-engage in sex” after prolonged periods without having sex, sometimes even months or years.

  • LGBTQ2+ Challenges,

  • Cheating & Infidelity

  • Sex and Pornography dilemmas and addictions.

  • Toys, Desires, and Fun in the Bedroom (or Kitchen, or where-ever).
